2 Reflection Prompts
I will be using my assessment page for when I'm preparing my lessons for my teaching blocks. Before creating my lessons I will check to ensure that my lessons are covering the content standards and the performance standards of Ontario's curriculum expectations. Also I will keep the four categories of knowledge and skills in mind when i'm planing my lessons. My lessons will reflect student's knowledge and understanding, thinking, communication, application of the learnings.
Although i will set my goals for the assessments to target to be assessment for learning and as learning so that i could use the feedbacks for my next step. I will also use an assessment strategy to be used for teacher- student communication, as a tool for learning goals. my lessons will have an success criteria and learning goals and before introducing the lessons i will discuss the learning goals with them and will inform them about how to use the success criteria. last but not least i will develop a chart to keep track of students learnings to be utilized for assessing their progress and also as a feedback for my teaching tips. Then I will modify my strategies accordingly.
My professional Learning goal would be providing a fair transparent and equitable learning for all student's. In order to ensure that I have achieved this goal I will communicate with students and their guardians incase my strategies are not affective. As an educator it's essential to keep an open mind and receive feedbacks from both student's and parents. Pedagogical assessment will also be used to check and see how far i have achieved my learning goals. For examples by going through the classroom recording the teacher can evaluate children's understanding and performance. By checking this recording we can assess and ensure all students were involved in learning and were able to communicate their skills.
