Badge 3 continuation Bio Poem

What are Bio Poems?
A bio poem is a simple poem written about a person, and it follows a predictable pattern. Bio poems don’t rhyme, and they can be autobiographical or biographical. Biography is when the author writes about his/her life. A bibliography; a list of sources used to formally cite ideas that are not personal. I can see myself implant this lesson in to my writer's workshop to help students develop writing skills. Although if i'm doing this with lower grades I would simply ask them to write a biography poem, since this task utilizes student's real life information and does not requires information processing time or research time. This is a great step for writer workshop because it involves thinking inquiry and also creativity. After all if  i would be teaching higher grades such as grade 4-6 i would implant this lesson as an research activity.
