Copy Rights
Well I have learned about have to cite some sources such as videos and and media but one of the interesting one was how to cite a picture since i had never cited an picture before and probably wasn't even aware that I must.
I have learned about Fair Dealing which means teachers, students or school from K–12 level can use A short excerpt of the work "for the purposes of research, private study, criticism, review, news reporting, education, satire, and parody, provided the dealing is “fair.” Although these activities must be non profitable. teachers in non profitable schools can use print or electronic form and distribute one copy to students in that school, although they must provide citation for the source, authors name or the the person who has created the work.
"A short excerpt means: a. up to 10 per cent of a copyright-protected work (including a literary work, musical score, sound recording, and an audiovisual work)
b. one chapter from a book
c. a single article from a periodical
d. an entire artistic work (including a painting, print, photograph, diagram, drawing, map, chart, and plan) from a copyrightprotected work containing other artistic works
e. an entire newspaper article or page
f. an entire single poem or musical score from a copyrightprotected work containing other poems or musical scores
g. an entire entry from an encyclopedia, annotated bibliography, dictionary, or similar reference work. "
the teacher can use a copyrightwork for instruction purposes to display in projectors, white boards, or any other similar tools for non profit educational purposes if the work is not available for purchase. Although the teacher can use it for test and exams as well if its not available commercially.
teachers working with students with disabilities or students with disbaility have different rights in using copyrightworks.
